Cyber School Student named to National Youth Orchestra

I am sending you a link to a wonderful story about one of our students, Sein An who this past Sunday was asked to be a featured soloist with the Bryn Athyn Orchestra for its performance of Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3. (continued

Sein is a member of the Philadelphia Youth orchestra and was named this year to the prestigious National Youth Orchestra.

“At 15, An won her first international competition, outperforming 45 other young violinists for the grand prize at the Remember Enescu competition in Sinaia, Romania. A local radio critic wrote that An’s “brilliant violin skills, her fiery temperament” won over the judges.”  (Inquirer)

These amazing accomplishments were made possible because she is attending our school – PA Leadership (cyber) Charter School.

Currently, there is a bill in the House – HB 530 that would cut funding for Cyber Charter Schools from 5% – 15% depending on the school district.  Would you please contact House Leader Turzai and let him know that arbitrarily cutting a class of public schools is the wrong thing to do for students like An?
